Hey all! I am a first-year PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, in Edinburgh’s Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC). Funded through the ExaGEO program, my work is broadly focused on developing environmental programs for exascale systems.

For my first year, I have been focused on working with TELEMAC, a library of codes for free-surface flow simulation. As such, much of my focus surrounds optimal GPU communication patterns, accessible GPU programming, solvers for linear systems, and writing effective, maintainable, open-source, GPU-targeting code.

If anyone is interested in my work or believes there is potential for collaboration, please contact me through my University email.

Previously, I did my Bachelors and Masters at the University of Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively before sticking around in Edinburgh to complete my PhD. I have been really fortunate with supervisors and had the opportunity to bend my PhD topic to my topics of interest. Furthermore, I have had great opportunities in my career to work at Indeed and D-CAT, working at large and smaller companies alike.

In my personal life, I really enjoy exercising, always up for any racquet sport. However, my primary sport is swimming and much of my free time is spent staring at a black line at the bottom of the pool. I have been learning Spanish for several years now - currently through the Centre for Open Learning at Edinburgh University - and now learning at a (CEFR) B2 level.
